The Balloon Aloft Hunter Valley Fiesta will takes to the skies over the Hunter Valley over the October long weekend (Friday 2nd to Monday 5th October 2020) in an amazing display of colour and excitement! Each day will see around thirty hot air balloons from all around the country launch together at sunrise and float majestically over the Hunter Valley wine country.
The best way to view the hot air balloon festival is definitely as passengers on board one of the balloons that will take to the skies at sunrise each morning. You can book your space on one of our fiesta flights for the experience of a life time; the excitement begins just before dawn as around thirty hot air balloons are inflated in the launch field – make sure to have your camera ready, it’s quite the spectacle – then take off and drifting over the Hunter Valley vineyards for an hour in the company of a fleet of hot air balloons. Celebrations continue after the flight back at Peterson House Winery with live music, a gourmet breakfast and a champagne tasting to wrap up an exciting and fun-filled morning.

** IMPORTANT INFORMATION**
Due to COVID-19, this year’s Fiesta will be a little different to previous years. With so much uncertainly over the last few months regarding outdoor gathering numbers, social distancing and other government restrictions, our team have had to make the difficult decision to prohibit spectators from attending the meeting, launch and landing locations for the 2020 Fiesta.
In other years we have a spectator convoy that meets and then travels out to the launch location. This will not be occurring this year. You will still, of course be able to watch the fiesta from wherever you are in the valley but you will not be able to come to the balloon launch or landing.
We are very disappointed that we can’t have spectators join us for this year Fiesta, however we look forward to welcoming back spectators in 2021!
