Can you hear those sleigh bells jingling? Cessnock City Council’s CAROLS IN THE PARK 2019 is set to go off with a big bang on Friday 6 December 2019 at Cessnock Sports Ground from 6.45pm.
This annual event continues to go from strength to strength and has become the heart of the Cessnock local government area’s Christmas celebrations, with an array of entertainment for the whole family.
Country music star and local resident Tara Naysmith returns to the Carols stage in 2019 as MC. Santa’s Little Helpers, a 14 piece big band comprised of talented musicians from across the Hunter, are also back for another year of musical magic under the guidance of Musical Director Greg Patterson. Greg is well known for his outstanding contribution to big stage musicals and his wonderful work as an arranger, and has been a part of our Carols family for many years.
Of course, the night would not be complete without a visit from the man himself. Santa will rest his reindeers in the nearby vineyards and enter in style in a helicopter generously provided by Slattery’s Helicopter.
The night will culminate in a spectacular fireworks display that is sure to delight and amaze.
Gates open at 6pm with the Carols performances from 6:45pm. There’ll also be gourmet food stalls and refreshments available for sale. Pack a picnic rug and head down to Cessnock Sports Ground and join us in making this a truly wonderful community event.
Please note that Carols in the Park 2019 is an alcohol-free event.
