221 Restaurant at the Royal Oak Hotel
The Royal Oak Hotel is the only Pub/Hotel in the region to consistently win Awards for Excellence from the Australian Hotel Association and the Restaurant & Catering Industry Association, as well as recommendations from the Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide and SMH Good Pub Food Guide.
It offers consistently great quality food at reasonable prices with friendly and attentive service. The Restaurant is committed to serving only the freshest and best quality produce and ingredients, sourced locally whenever possible. The printed menu is seasonally driven, with an additional Special’s Board featuring seasonal favourites or dishes designed around the best produce available on the day. In addition to the vegetarian and gluten free choices on the menus, customers with special dietary requirements can be catered for and meals can be specifically produced for them depending on their requirements.
The options of the Restaurant’s daily and special occasion dining, degustations, children’s menu – as well as the Bar and Café menus – offers a diversity of options in one location that is not available elsewhere in the area. There’s also a wood-fired pizza oven offering a selection of Gourmet pizzas to eat in or take away. In additional to the main kitchen staff there are two expert pastry chefs who produce freshly baked goods daily from the special purpose pastry and cold preparation kitchen. The Café fare as well as its Gourmet coffee has developed a strong following.
Offering reliable, consistently great quality food that is affordable along with friendly, welcoming staff – with a desirable atmosphere in a safe and secure environment – is a priority. It’s what our customers want and what we deliver.
In addition to the Restaurant there’s great Bar food. On Saturday nights in the Bar from 8pm, enjoy entertainment featuring quality regional musicians. The comfortable Lounge filled with Chesterfield sofas in the middle of the Hotel is perfect for afternoon teas and cocktails. Alfresco dining is available in the garden area, with a large Marquee enclosed in glass and louvered windows – retaining air flow and an outdoor ambience. The garden also has a cubby house for the kids and a child-safe gate leading to the car park.
The Hotel’s popular “Side Street Café” is open from 7.30am-3.30pm daily, serving the best quality gourmet coffee in town as well as a selection of light meals and baked goods made in-house by the Hotel’s expert pastry chefs. Gourmet wood-fired pizzas are available to eat in or take away.
On the first floor of the Royal Oak Hotel, we offer traditional pub-style accommodation for overnight stays or weekend packages.
The Tariff includes a Voucher for a light breakfast in the Hotel’s Side Street Café – cup of espresso coffee or tea, glass of juice and a muffin.
Rooms are clean and comfortable with Queen-size French style beds, high quality mattresses, crisp linen and fresh white towels. A limited number of twin-rooms are available. Oil heaters and overhead fans are there for your comfort.
