Hunter Valley Gardens is a beautiful, nature based, experience for local, national and international visitors.
Spread across 14 hectares encompassing 10 internationally themed gardens to explore, there is something for everyone, including the ever-popular Storybook Garden.
8km of pathways will lead you to spectacular vistas including a 10m high waterfall, topiary displays, man-made ponds, statues, murals, beautiful architectural structures and much more. In the Gardens there are 6,000 trees, 600,000 shrubs and over 1 million ground covers to discover from Australia and around the world.
Open during school holidays and event periods our 4 permanent rides add an air of excitement and fun to the Gardens for the young and young at heart. The rides include the Swing Chair, Giant Ferris Wheel, Carousel and Superslide. Ride tokens and wristbands can be purchased at Garden entry.
Hunter Valley Gardens have been the recipients of many awards since opening including the prestigious Hunter Valley Legends award from Hunter Valley Wine Tourism Association in 2019 awarded to Bill and Imelda Roche and Destination Sydney’s Gold Award in the Major Festival/Events Sydney North Regional category for Christmas Lights Spectacular in 2019.
