If you are looking for a fun and family day out in the Hunter Valley then look no further , Hunter Valley Zoo is located just out of Cessnock, only one hour from the Central Coast and 45 minutes from Newcastle.

We offer free BBQ facilities available for you to bring your packed esky and feed the family whilst your here. We also have feed bags available for purchase to use in our interactive yard which includes farmyard animals, kangaroos and one of our bird avaries.
We have free daily shows where you can meet, take photos and pat a wombat, koala or reptiles along with educational talks on these and our cheeky monkeys and more. (Shows are different between weekdays, weekends and school holidays.)
If you are after more you can book in to meet our Meerkats or Marmoset Monkeys as a one on one with the keeper to get closer with the animal and take photos. (Visitors use their own cameras. Max 3 people over the age of 10.)
Hunter Valley Zoo have had many new animals arrive including Maned Wolf, Meerkats and Serval Cats. If you’re looking to add a unique, unforgettable experience to a business event, corporate event, international function, festival or other event, the zoo has external displays where we bring the animals to you. The Hunter Valley Zoo is also proud to volunteer their time to the Starlight Room at John Hunter Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House making kids days just that little bit brighter by meeting some of our animals.
