Lovedale Smokehouse is an owner operated small batch, artisan smokehouse with a gourmet pantry and café famous for their large range of charcuterie and low and slow smoked meats. Also located on site is Majors Lane Cooking School which offers fun outdoor cooking classes on their beautiful vineyard. A variety of Chef-led classes are available such as Thai Street Food, Low and Slow Smoked Meats, Vietnamese, Sichuan, Authentic Mexican, Indonesian and more.

We produce a large range of smoked produce on-site including smoked rainbow trout, salmon gravlax, salmon pastrami, smoked trout pate, pulled pork, smoked mussels, smoked albacore tuna, smoked octopus, hot smoked salmon, smoked beef brisket, cold smoked salmon, smoked bacon, speck, smoked kangaroo, smoked venison, smoked duck, smoked chicken, smoked cheeses, smoked vegetables, smoked ham, smoked olives, duck pates and terrines.
Our Gourmet Pantry also showcases a range of cured meats including prosciutto, jamon, bresaola, salami, jerky, plus local, Australian and International cheeses, caramelised and flavoured balsamic vinegars, smoked sea salts, smoked honey, chutneys, jams, dukkahs, smokey bbq sauces, bbq rubs, seasonings, liquid smoke, pickles, crackers, salad dressings, fruit pastes, tappenades, olives, olive oils, dessert sauces and smoking equipment. Lovedale Smokehouse produce is available exclusively from our store.

Lovedale Smokehouse Cafe
The Lovedale Smokehouse Cafe menu features our famous charcuterie platters to share and individual dishes showcasing our smokehouse produce including low ‘n’ slow smoked pulled pork, baby back pork ribs and beef brisket, warm smoked salmon and potato salad, slow braised lamb casserole and mouth watering smokey chicken or beef burgers. Our share style charcuterie platters showcase our range of smoked and cured cold cut meats, smoked seafood, terrines, pates, cheeses and hand made chutneys. Take home platters are available.
Relax in our courtyard featuring vineyard views and splashing fountains or in our air conditioned dining room with a craft beer, cider, Hunter Valley wine or coffee and enjoy the best lunch the Hunter Valley has to offer! We are open for lunch Thursday to Monday 10.30am until 4pm.

Classes are hosted by Majors Lane Cooking School and Lovedale Smokehouse’s Owner/Chef/Pitmaster Ben Sales. Ben, a level 4 qualified Chef has hosted our cooking classes since they commenced in 2007. Ben is extremely passionate about food and loves inspiring participants with his in-depth knowledge, skills and travel and food experiences
Individual and group bookings are welcome
Private classes at a time that suits you are available with a minimum 6 participants, perfect for bachelor parties, hen parties, birthday parties and corporate team building or conference break out activities
