The idyllic rural settlements to live, work and play. Steeped in history and country charm, enjoy fine architecture, hospitality and friendly locals.

A popular RV destination, Branxton is located at the northern end of Hunter Valley Wine Country.

Welcome to Branxton, Greta . A beautiful little corner of the valley and a chance to explore the heritage, culture and some of Australia’s winemaking origins.

Branxton and Greta have retained all of their historical charm, with fine colonial architecture and friendly locals. A great place to visit when travelling the New England Highway. The townships of Branxton and Greta are located on the New England Highway between Cessnock, Maitland and Singleton and on the northern end of Wine Country Drive. Steeped in history, country charm and hospitality, Branxton and Greta are the northern gateways to the world-renowned Hunter Valley Wine Country.

Branxton is the northern gate to Tourist Drive 33 (TD33), an alternative route to Sydney and the world famous Hunter Valley Wine Country. TD33 is an 114km drive along some of Australia’s oldest convict trails and featuring spectacular rural vistas. With the opening of the M15 Hunter Expressway, Branxton Greta is undergoing rapid change and we are up for the challenge, welcoming the $1.5 billion Huntlee planned town development, providing many employment and business opportunities for residents and local businesses of Branxton Greta.
